📘 OECD/UNCAC Legal Reference

OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises

  • Chapter II (General Policies): Enterprises should protect whistleblowers from retaliation and maintain internal compliance systems.
  • Chapter IV (Human Rights): Enterprises should avoid adverse human rights impacts, including retaliation against whistleblowers.

OECD Anti-Bribery Recommendation (2009)

  • Annex II: Encourages effective internal whistleblower mechanisms and protective measures.

UNCAC Article 33

  • States should consider incorporating protections against retaliation for whistleblowers who report in good faith.
